Seeking an Explosive Ordnance Engineer to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Advisory business, you will work closely with clients and embedded within a vibrant team on multi-million dollar projects at the cutting edge of innovation in Defence munitions and sovereign defence capability.

  • Manage and address risk.
  • Prepare contract changes, technical documentation, schedules, and other project materials.
  • Support integration activities, including ship installations.
  • Conduct certification activities for explosive ordnance in accordance with EMB processes.
  • Support the introduction into service of the NSM capability through MARBs and Seaworthiness activities.
Responsibilities:

As a Senior Explosive Ordnance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Development of weapon plans for Maritime and Munitions capabilities in accordance with policy, guidance, and best practice.
  • Plan, prepare, and develop weapon integration activities, schedules, and plans for platforms, including technical risk, dependencies, schedule, cost, and Fundamental Inputs to Capability elements.
  • Support, coordinate, and inform financial management, risk management, reporting on a monthly basis, strategic support, management of data requests, visit coordination activities, executive-level brief drafting, coordination, and reporting on Maritime Strike and Munitions activities.
  • Support development of future capabilities, including Pre-Gate 0 advice, input, and document preparation in consultation with Navy.
Qualifications:

Requirements include:

  • Extensive experience as EO Engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience to undertake tasks of increasing complexity, including the ability to consider the problem, derive a range of potential solutions from existing possibilities, and decide on the best course of action to reach a cost-effective outcome.
  • Thorough understanding of integration requirements both within support elements and between EO and other technical logistics disciplines.
