
Principal Explosive Ordnance Specialist

This is a critical role within the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Group. We are seeking an experienced Explosive Ordnance Engineer to support ongoing engineering assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Registration of Technical Information: The successful candidate will be responsible for registering technical information, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Conduct of Technical Information Review: This includes reviewing and analyzing technical information to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
- Planning and Execution of Engineering Activities: The Explosive Ordnance Engineer will plan and execute engineering activities, including the development and maintenance of engineering artefacts.
- Support to Configuration Control Boards: Providing technical expertise to configuration control boards to ensure that all engineering activities are aligned with company objectives.
- Planning of Certification Activities: Developing and implementing certification plans to ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements.
- Development and Maintenance of Engineering Artefacts: Creating and maintaining engineering artefacts, including design documents and specialist engineering reports.
- Incorporation of Changes to Engineering Artefacts: Implementing changes to engineering artefacts as required, ensuring that all updates are documented and approved.
- Engineering Analysis, including Failure Mode Analysis and Hazard Identification: Conducting detailed analysis of engineering data to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Communication and Mitigation of Risk: Communicating risk-related information to stakeholders and developing mitigation strategies to minimize risk.
- Update and Upkeep of Product Configuration Baselines: Ensuring that product configuration baselines are up-to-date and accurate, reflecting any changes or updates.
- Previous Experience in Explosive Ordnance Engineering: The successful candidate will have prior experience in explosive ordnance engineering, with a strong understanding of related processes and procedures.
- Specialist Training in Explosives Ordnance: Holding specialist training in explosives ordnance, including knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Design Document Production and Specialist Engineering Reports: Having expertise in producing design documents and specialist engineering reports, including knowledge of formatting and presentation guidelines.
- Contract Documentation, Plans and Reports: Being able to develop and maintain contract documentation, plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Tertiary Qualifications in a Relevant Engineering Field with Specialised Training in Guided Weapons Engineering: Holding tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field, with specialized training in guided weapons engineering.
- Previous Explosive Ordnance Certification Experience: Having prior experience in explosive ordnance certification, including knowledge of certification processes and procedures.
