Your New Role:

The Airborne Sensor Operator will be responsible for performing operational duties associated with the acquisition of airborne LiDAR and imagery. This includes operating LiDAR and camera systems, coordinating flying missions, and ensuring the accurate and timely execution of planned airborne sorties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate LiDAR and camera systems to capture high-quality data
  • Coordinate flying missions with survey pilots or aircraft providers
  • Ensure the quality control of acquired data
  • Carry out flight planning duties for NZ operations

Requirements:

  • Technical qualifications in LiDAR and camera systems, spatial science, or photography
  • Comfortable operating in unpressurized light aircraft at various altitudes for extended periods
  • Operating knowledge of aerial survey sensors and flight planning software
  • Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on MS-based software
  • Attain and maintain a red Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
