Job Description

Raytheon Australia is a trusted partner to the Australian Defence Force, delivering complex technology and engineering projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the Australian Defence Force maximise its capabilities by delivering advanced airborne Electronic Warfare (EW) training, test and certification to Air, Land, Maritime and industry task units.

This exciting and challenging role involves operating Raytheon Australia's two highly modified Special Mission Aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Form part of the flight crew of our special mission EW Learjet 35A aircraft
  • Assist the Head of Operations in maintaining a safe and effective working environment
  • Act as Deployment Commander on a rotation basis with other aircrew
  • Contribute to tactical operating procedures and standards for EW flight operations
  • Conduct deployments in support of domestic and international exercises as required
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Commercial Pilot License (Aeroplane), be eligible to obtain a current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), and have at least 6 years of military aviation experience. They should also possess a valid CASA Part 61 Class 1 Medical Certificate and an Instrument Rating (Multi Engine Aircraft (MEA) with Instrument Approach Procedure (IAP) 2D and IAP 3D).

A minimum of 500 hours Pilot In Command (PIC) and Low Level Rating (Aeroplane) are essential requirements. Formation Flying Flight Activity Endorsement (Aeroplane) and Military pilot fast jet experience are highly desirable.
