Job Title: Tank Welder

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Tank Welder. The successful candidate will possess exceptional welding and grinding skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of prior tank welding/fitting experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to pass required weld testing. Additionally, they will be able to lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds, move in confined spaces, and climb steel frameworks and stairs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding and grinding functions per job specifications, selecting equipment and planning layout and assembly.
  • Work closely with supervision, maintaining precise limits and standards of accuracy.
  • Efficiently produce quality welds, perform fitter tasks using various positions and metallurgy.
  • Communicate regularly with Field Foremen on issues and concerns.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of prior tank welding/fitting experience.
  • Effective communication skills with employees and customers.
  • Ability to pass required Weld Testing WPS FC-P1-P1-IL.
  • Successful completion of all pre-hire requirements.

Physical/Site Requirements:

  • Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Move in confined spaces, uneven areas, and varying temperatures.
  • Climb steel frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
  • PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
