We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Indigenous Research Pathways Coordinator. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in creating and promoting pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates into research degrees at the University.
This role requires a deep understanding of Indigenous student experiences, cultural safety, and strategic planning. You will work closely with Murrup Barak, faculty staff, and Chancellery to align program delivery with institutional goals and growing research expertise. Your duties will include developing and piloting a PhD familiarisation program, providing tailored support to prospective Indigenous candidates, and collaborating across the University to promote Indigenous research excellence.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent organisational and time management skills, and a deep understanding of Indigenous student experiences. You will also have demonstrated experience in strategic planning and operational execution of initiatives supporting Indigenous students.
- Develop and Pilot PhD Familiarisation Program: Create and implement a culturally safe and supportive program for prospective Indigenous graduate researchers across STEM and HASS disciplines.
- Provide Tailored Support: Serve as a key contact for prospective Indigenous candidates, offering guidance and warm engagement to navigate university processes and pathways.
- Collaborate Across the University: Work with Murrup Barak, faculty staff, and Chancellery to align program delivery with institutional goals and growing research expertise.
We offer a range of benefits, including flexible work arrangements, progressive leave provisions, salary packaging, and access to health and wellbeing services.
