Mental Health Specialist

Our team provides high-quality, trauma-informed clinical services to young people and their families. We are seeking skilled professionals to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team.

As a Mental Health Specialist, you will deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to the specific mental health needs of young people, with a strong emphasis on recovery. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individual therapy using techniques that have been proven to be effective in improving mental health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assertive outreach, intensive case management, and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic care that is trauma-informed, recovery-focused, and family-inclusive.
  • Provide individual therapy using evidence-based interventions tailored to the specific mental health needs of young people.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely documentation in line with confidentiality requirements and legal standards.

Requirements:

  • Professional registration required to practice, in your area of specialty.
  • Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of your specified post-graduate qualification.
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to work from various locations around the district.
  • Knowledge of working within a crisis intervention model of care.
