Aviation Training Coordinator Role Overview

">Job Description

Our organization requires a skilled Aviation Training Coordinator to oversee the coordination of aviation security training at Sunshine Coast Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and maintaining compliance with National Aviation Screener Accreditation Scheme (NASAS) across all sites, as well as coaching and mentoring training staff and employees to achieve positive compliance outcomes.

The role involves developing and maintaining training plans, scheduling training sessions, and ensuring all training and competency assessments are conducted in BA365. Additionally, the candidate will assist in the management of on-site training files and relevant documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110) plus TAELLN unit, Certificate II Transport Security Protection, or grandfathered screener status. They should also possess excellent organizational skills, strong computer skills, and a calm approach to managing changing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver aviation security training programs
  • Maintain NASAS compliance across all sites
  • Counsel and mentor training staff and employees
  • Develop and maintain training plans
  • Schedule training sessions and conduct assessments in BA365
  • Manage on-site training files and documentation
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Postgraduate qualification in adult education or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in training coordination
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems
