Heavy Vehicle Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled heavy vehicle technician to join our team. As a key member of the South Metro depot, you will be responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of heavy vehicle road transport and plant machinery.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and major repairs on heavy vehicles and plant equipment.
  • Ensure all machinery operates efficiently and in compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct planned and unplanned work, including inspection, fault diagnosis, and rectifying problems related to the servicing and maintenance of heavy vehicles.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A trade qualification in heavy duty mechanical applications - Heavy automotive / Heavy Vehicle Road Transport.
  • Demonstrated industry experience as a heavy vehicle / mobile plant mechanic.
  • Experience in diagnosis and repair of hydraulics / low voltage electrical.
  • Highly developed teamwork skills - Must be able to work as part of a high-performing team.
  • A valid WA 'C' class licence (essential).
  • A valid WA 'HR' Driver's Licence (desirable).
  • A High Risk licence class EWP (desirable).
  • A High Risk licence class Dogging (desirable).
  • A High Risk licence class Forklift (desirable).
  • A Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate classes HVW and LVW (willing to obtain within the first 6 months).
