Our Civil and Structural team specialises in designing roads, rail, bridges, stormwater, and general civil engineering projects. This skilled, high-performing team works on a wide variety of projects in different sectors, including infrastructure, power, water, and industrial, providing expertise around stormwater drainage, earthworks, and road/pavement design.
The Role
This Senior Civil Engineer position will involve taking responsibility for:
- Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary civil projects as Job Manager and/or Lead Civil Engineer.
- Developing a culture of outstanding delivery within the team, including workflow processes from feasibility to detailed design.
- Coaching and mentoring young team members on technical areas, project planning, and execution.
- Business development activities from opportunity identification to active pursuit, in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Ideal candidates will be qualified Professional Engineers (CPEng) with Engineers Australia (or equivalent), having civil engineering experience in a consulting environment. You will have experience working on drainage or civil engineering projects, preferably with technical expertise in grading and drainage design.
You will have strong links to the market, with expertise in 3D Design (12D or Civil 3D), Design Management, and Bid writing/tendering. A values-driven person who enjoys sharing colleagues' successes and delivering excellence for clients.
Flexibility, proactivity, and understanding of teamwork in a consultancy setting are essential attributes. Excellent communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, and initiative are also required.
