Job Title: Legal Editor
About The Role:- Create and classify legal information in accordance with our publishing conventions and priorities.
- Review and edit legal information created by other employees, authors, freelancers, and others.
- Adhere to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards.
- Consult with multiple departments regarding business aspects of publications as required.
- Verify own work and that of colleagues and external contributors for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Maintain and develop legal knowledge and skills training to complete work and stay current on legal trends and developments.
- Australian Law degree (required).
- Post-qualification legal experience or similar experience desirable.
- Strong legal research skills and familiarity with Australian legal resources.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and communicate complex legal material.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of its importance from a customer perspective.
- Commitment to both team and personal goals.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.

We are seeking an experienced legal editor to join our team. As a legal editor, you will be responsible for creating and classifying legal information in accordance with our publishing conventions and priorities. This role requires strong legal research skills, the ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and communicate complex legal material, and excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian law, preferably with post-qualification legal experience or similar experience. They will also possess strong attention to detail and understanding of its importance from a customer perspective, as well as a commitment to both team and personal goals.
