About the Role

This is a highly sought-after position that involves delivering exceptional professional healthcare interpreting and/or translation services to facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients in certified and/or assessed languages.

The ideal candidate will have NAATI certification, demonstrated capacity to interpret in a healthcare setting, and ability to identify and convey social and cultural factors affecting healthcare outcomes.

They will also be able to identify ethical dilemmas and deal with them in compliance with AUSIT Code of Ethics. Travel is required, and a current NSW driver's licence is essential for this role.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

  • NAATI Certification when the language is certified by NAATI; or Recognition if certification is not available.
  • Demonstrated capacity to interpret in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to identify and convey social and cultural factors affecting healthcare to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Ability to identify ethical dilemmas and to deal with them in compliance with AUSIT Code of Ethics.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) and willingness to travel.
