Job Opportunity

We are seeking a professional interpreter to join our healthcare team, providing high-quality communication services between healthcare providers and patients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The successful candidate will have NAATI certification in the required language and demonstrated capacity to interpret in a healthcare setting. They will also be able to identify and convey social and cultural factors affecting health care, ensuring high-quality performance.

In this role, you will work at one of our healthcare facilities, including St George Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Canterbury Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Concord Hospital. You will provide interpreting services for patients who require medical attention, facilitating effective communication and enabling them to receive the best possible care.

As an interpreter in this role, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive accurate information about their condition, treatment options, and follow-up care. Your expertise will enable patients to make informed decisions about their health, promoting equity and access to healthcare services.

Required qualifications include NAATI certification in the required language, demonstrated capacity to interpret in a healthcare setting, and ability to identify and convey social and cultural factors affecting health care. Additionally, you must be willing to travel and have a current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
