Your new role

Due to our expansion, we have an opportunity for a full-time Senior Accountant in our Private Business and Family Advisory team, located in Newcastle. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering general accounting and tax compliance services to client groups within diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare management reports for clients, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Collaborate with the client manager or partner on complex taxation advice, utilizing your expertise to provide seamless solutions.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, promoting their professional growth and development.

About You

The successful candidate for this role will possess the following attributes:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a public practice environment, specifically in business services and taxation.
  • Completed (or near completion) of a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or similar) and either commenced or intend to commence the CA program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration and client interaction.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks and projects.
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, balancing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow your skills, coupled with a high level of curiosity and enthusiasm.
