Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Splunk Architect to lead our large-scale Splunk environment. This critical role involves managing, expanding, upgrading, automating, and improving performance and sustainability.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Splunk system architecture, data analytics, performance management, automation, and administration. They will collaborate closely with technology and business groups to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage Splunk system architecture for our enterprise deployments.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other relevant tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle.
  • Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment.
  • Work with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of automation tools with appropriate infrastructure components.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to automation tools and processes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation tools and processes.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of expert-level Splunk Architect/Engineer experience.
  • Thorough understanding of search head and indexer clustering topology.
  • Hands-on experience with shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Windows scripts.
  • Strong knowledge of regular expressions.
  • Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to drive vendors, system admins, and others to deliver solutions together.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a track record of implementing innovative technology solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic, and/or AutoSys.
  • Experience working in secure, multi-data center environments.
  • Knowledge of other monitoring tools.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline.
