As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored, person-centred support. You will work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including sleepovers, active nights, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Deliver high-quality, individualised support to people with disabilities and young people
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development
  • Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support
  • Support community participation and recreational activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans
  • Advocate for customer rights and promote independence

Key Responsibilities:

The following are some of the key responsibilities associated with this role:

  • Creating safe, trauma-informed environments for young people with complex needs
  • Developing and implementing individual support plans that meet the unique needs of each customer
  • Providing guidance and support to customers in developing skills and achieving their goals
  • Working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Passion for working with people with disabilities and young individuals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Certificate IV in Disability or Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Driver's licence & NDIS Worker check or willingness to obtain
