About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Finance Manager to join our team at Qantas Group. As a key member of our External Reporting and Advice team, you will play a critical role in providing accounting advice and research to support the delivery of high-quality financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical accounting advice and research to support the preparation of financial reports, including statutory reporting and internal contract reviews.
  • Collaborate with segment finance teams and business partners to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain technical accounting papers and provide sound accounting judgment and estimates.
  • Support the Group External Reporting Manager at half-year and year-end to ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear accounting and reporting advice.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently to resolve complicated accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Previous experience in a Group Finance role or prior experience in a managerial role within a Big 4 / Mid-tier auditing firm.
  • Degree in a business-related discipline and accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent.
  • Ability to research and provide relevant technical guidance to solve complex accounting problems.
