Underground Field Service Specialist


Job Description:

The Underground Field Service Technician is an integral part of our team, responsible for supporting our Underground mining customers in New South Wales. Key responsibilities include installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems on mine sites.

Your duties will involve:

  • Installation and commissioning of electrical equipment Underground
  • Onsite electrical auditing, testing, breakdown assistance, commissioning, and installation of electrical systems
  • Providing face-to-face support to clients
  • Working individually and in small teams across various mine sites
  • Preparing timely and quality service reports following site work

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong willingness to get hands-on in an electrical manufacturing and service environment
  • Experience with HV electrical equipment and systems specific to mining and utilities (including diagnosis and fault finding)
  • Knowledge of explosion protection techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ampcontrol products
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • A task-focused approach and ability to make decisions
