
Commercial Operations Specialist

The Performance Manager oversees the provision of business data, analysis and insights to support workforce optimisation, contract performance and operational delivery across Victorian Roads Maintenance contracts.
Key Responsibilities:- Develops innovative solutions to complex problems related to commercial performance and contractor management. They have introduced improved systems and processes to track performance and enhance commercial management practices
- Built formal and informal relationships with internal and external stakeholders. These relationships were used to achieve successful outcomes for the organisation, departments and community
- Applied analytical and commercial management skills to manage risk during contract administration and management (safety, environmental, scope, financial, time and reputational)
- Provided effective leadership and people management to the team. Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and delivering on services required. Empowered staff to make decisions appropriate to their capability
- Defined the data analytics strategy. Made decisions on allocating resources to pursue the strategy, and monitored and evaluated implementation. Developed and measured goals, strategies and plans. Foreseen and reviewed changes' impact on objectives. Provided strategic advice to senior executives
Key qualifications include: As a Performance Manager & Insight, you will bring strong business and commercial acumen to ensure efficient operations, understanding cost drivers and vendor engagement terms. You will be accountable for delivering high-quality outcomes by managing performance standards, supporting your team through challenges, and creating a culture of engagement, recognition, and continuous improvement. Your ability to apply systems thinking enables you to identify trends, obstacles and opportunities across the internal and external environment. You will coach others in using a systems-based approach to problem-solving and decision-making. You will translate strategic priorities into actionable programs and projects, with clear governance structures, risk management, and success measures in place. With developed influence and persuasion skills, you will adapt your communication style to engage stakeholders and build alignment around shared goals. Additionally, you will lead and support change initiatives, providing guidance and coaching to help others navigate transition, remove barriers and implement effective change strategies.
