Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking Support Workers to provide 1:1 assistance to individuals with disabilities across Melbourne. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on people's lives and work in a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting someone with a disability, an understanding of the disability sector, and excellent communication skills. They should be flexible and able to commit to regular shifts.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with community access and recreational activities
  • Providing personal care such as showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance
  • Using manual handling techniques and equipment like wheelchairs & hoists
  • Transporting clients and engaging them in social activities
  • Performing light domestic duties like meal preparation and cleaning
  • Offering behavioural and mental health support

Required qualifications include:

  • Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
  • An understanding of the disability sector and person-centred support
  • Excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach
  • Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to the role

Essential criteria include:

  • The legal right to work in Australia
  • A valid driver's license and a registered vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Two professional references
