Perioperative Anaesthetic Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Perioperative Anaesthetic Nurse to join our Interventional Suite team.
The Interventional Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients, for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery. It comprises: 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; 41 bed Recovery Unit; Anaesthetics Service and state of the art Sterilising Services Department.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Ensure patient and staff safety through effective risk management
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
- Develop and implement education programs to support patient health and wellbeing
- Current Registration with AHPRA is essential
- Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing is preferred
- Working with Children check may be required
- Commitment to quality patient care is paramount
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards is mandatory
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills are essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary
- Basic computer skills are expected
