Claims Consultant

This is a high-performing Claims Consultant position that will oversee a diverse portfolio of claims from inception through to resolution.

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge and experience in handling CTP or personal injury claims, with strong analytical skills and technical abilities. They will also possess excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information and negotiate with various internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a recent law graduate or due to complete their studies, with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to workplace improvement and changes.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Investigate liability and analyse medical and rehabilitation data
  2. Evaluate claim values and negotiate settlements
  3. Communicate with solicitors or direct claimants by phone, correspondence and/or attending settlement conferences and/or hearings
  4. Ensure legislative compliance timeframes are met
What You Will Bring:
  1. Sound knowledge and experience in handling CTP or personal injury claims or Law
  2. Tertiary qualifications, including Legal, Allied Health or Insurance would be advantageous
  3. Excellent analytical skills and technical abilities
  4. High attention to detail
  5. Pro-active and energetic team player
  6. Highest professional approach to all aspects of claims handling
  7. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information and negotiate with various internal and external stakeholders
  8. Strong administrative and written skills
