Senior Product & Portfolio Lead

This role oversees the performance and development of intermediated motor insurance product lines, both private and commercial.

About the Role
  • Lead the full product lifecycle, from design and development to enhancements and maintenance
  • Manage complex underwriting referrals and ensure alignment with risk appetite and guidelines
  • Implement product changes, including PDS and underwriting updates
  • Monitor and optimize portfolio performance, including financial outcomes, claims trends, and exposure management
  • Develop customer, product, and distribution strategies
  • Support technical pricing reviews and implement tactical pricing changes
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver improvements
Your Skills and Experience
  • A mix of technical expertise, leadership capability, and collaboration
  • Passionate about delivering product and portfolio outcomes, with strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • Strong experience in general insurance, with a focus on product and/or portfolio management
  • Proven experience managing motor portfolios or solid background in motor underwriting
  • Understanding of private and commercial motor insurance
  • Ability to lead product development, pricing reviews, or strategic planning
  • Experience engaging stakeholders across underwriting, distribution, pricing, claims, risk, and compliance
  • A people leader who can coach, mentor, and build team capability
