Safety and Health Specialist

Job Overview
The primary role of this position is to develop and implement effective health and safety management systems. This will involve the identification of hazards, assessment of risks, and implementation of controls to mitigate or eliminate these risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety matters
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and near misses
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe working environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline
- Professional certification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
- Proven experience in a health and safety role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
