About the Role:

Caseworkers provide critical support and guidance to young people who have had contact with the law.

Delivering statutory casework services, they use high-level assessment and intervention skills to engage with families, community organisations, and key stakeholders.

The role involves preparing information and evidence for court, conducting pre- and post-court interviews, and liaising with court stakeholders.

Caseworkers also build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to establish therapeutic alliances and achieve quality outcomes.

To support young people and their families, Caseworkers formulate case plans with consistent action-oriented goals, addressing issues such as employment, education, physical and mental health services, safe housing, responsible parenting skills, anti-social behaviour, and community participation.

In addition to record management tasks, Caseworkers collaborate with Youth Justice Service Centre staff and participate in training activities to maintain and enhance their knowledge and competencies.

They demonstrate cultural capability and contribute to peer supervision.
