Strategic Insurance Portfolio Manager for BMD Constructions

About the Role
BMD Constructions, a family-owned national contractor with over 43 years of experience in delivering infrastructure that enhances environments and connects people, is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Insurance Portfolio Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in insurance and construction, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. They will be responsible for managing the company's insurance portfolio, including defining and implementing a group-wide insurance strategy, building partnerships across the business, and actively managing brokers and underwriters.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proven negotiating abilities. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of insurance provisions in construction-related contracts and be able to adapt to any team or culture seamlessly.
About You
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business/Commerce, Law, or Engineering disciplines.
- You have at least 10 years of relevant insurance and construction experience, with specialty experience in claims management and insurance strategy ideally.
- You are a commercially astute individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven negotiating abilities.
- You have a strong knowledge of insurance provisions in construction-related contracts.
- You have an engaging, collaborative, and consultative approach with demonstrated ability to interact at all levels and build strong, respectful relationships.
