Electrical Commissioning Manager for Water Treatment Projects

BMD Constructions, a national contractor with over 40 years of experience in delivering infrastructure projects, seeks an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of electrical systems and commissioning processes.
As the Electrical Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical installations on water treatment construction projects. This includes:
- Interpreting electrical design documentation and drawings;
- Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of electrical designs;
- Managing electrical subcontractors, including procurement of equipment;
- Planning and implementing electrical works according to project specifications;
- Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure timely completion and budget adherence;
- Managing budgets, forecasting, and preparing claims;
- Developing and executing effective management plans for electrical and commissioning activities;
- Maintaining open communication with the project team to ensure safe delivery of works;
- Leveraging extensive experience (15+ years) in E, I & C within the construction industry, along with relevant electrical qualifications (Trade or Engineering);
- Applying expertise in the Water Treatment Industry, particularly in Electrical, SCADA, and Commissioning works;
- Utilizing program software and scheduling techniques, including critical path analysis, float, and cause-and-effect analysis.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Electrical Commissioning within the construction industry;
- Relevant electrical qualifications (Trade or Engineering);
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems;
- Previous experience in managing electrical design, subcontractors, and budgets;
- Familiarity with program software and scheduling techniques;
- Excellent communication and leadership skills;
- Prior experience in the Water Treatment Industry is highly desirable.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Located in Australia.
