About the Opportunity

This senior leadership role is responsible for the management of the Aboriginal staff within the Social and Emotional Wellbeing team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress. The successful candidate will provide high-level oversight of services and programs, including succession planning, service coordination, staff recruitment, budgetary reviews, performance reviews, report writing, and staff support.

The position is located within the Congress Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Service, which provides access to a network of peer support, including clinical supervision. The SEWB team embeds medical, therapeutic, and cultural and social streams of care, with intensive case management as required.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Indigenous Healthcare Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading the management of the Aboriginal staff within the SEWB team.
  • Providing high-level oversight of services and programs, including succession planning and service coordination.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing staff to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Conducting budgetary reviews and performance reviews to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Preparing reports and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Supporting staff in their roles and contributing to a positive work environment.
