The Australian Financial Complaints Authority is seeking a senior individual to lead the Banking Code Compliance Committee (BCCC). This independent body monitors compliance with the Banking Code of Practice, promoting best practices and improving standards in the banking industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Examine banks' practices, identify and prioritise industry-wide issues, recommend improvements, sanction non-compliance, and consult with stakeholders.
- Set the agenda, preside over meetings, facilitate discussions, and represent the BCCC externally.
- Work closely with the secretariat at AFCA, ensuring effective governance and decision-making.
To be successful, you will have relevant experience in senior leadership roles, particularly in governance, regulatory, or compliance-focused positions. You will possess strong communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal abilities.
