Engineering Management System Coordinator

The Engineering Management System (EMS) plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of equipment, systems, and processes within an organization. As an EMS Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the EMS framework to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining EMS standards, procedures, manuals, and templates;
  • Overseeing EMS coverage across all phases of the project lifecycle;
  • Managing waiver and type approval processes to ensure compliance with safety assurance standards such as EN 50126/50129 and ISO 45001;
  • Tracking and managing waivers to ensure validity, compliance, and periodic review;
  • Collaborating with engineering, maintenance, asset management, and operations teams to align waiver and type approval requirements;
  • Supporting risk mitigation activities by working closely with safety teams to ensure risks are controlled SFAIRP;
  • Leading applications for type approval to ensure documentation and evidence meet regulatory requirements;
  • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of organisational standards, policies, and processes;
  • Preparing reports on waiver and type approval activities to highlight trends, risks, and compliance performance;
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation including waiver requests, type approval submissions, risk assessments, and regulator correspondence.
Requirements:
  • A strong background in engineering, operations, or safety assurance;
  • Proven ability to manage waiver and type approval processes in a regulated environment;
  • Experience with technical standards, safety assurance, and regulatory frameworks;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work effectively with contractors, clients, regulators, and internal teams.
