Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Service Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide critical support and case management services to individuals and families in need.

This role involves working closely with our clients, assessing their needs, and developing effective plans to address their challenges. Our ideal candidate is someone who is empathetic, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing initial response and assessment to individuals and families, identifying their needs and risks
  • Establishing relationships with clients, encouraging self-determination and participation
  • Working within an ethical framework to administer brokerage funding as needed
  • Ongoing assessment and review of client issues, vulnerabilities, and needs from initial intake to exit

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in social service environments, including client assessment and case management
  • Previous experience providing case management type support over the phone (an advantage)
  • QLD Working with Children Check
  • Driver's Licence
  • First Aid Certificate
