Supply Chain Career Opportunity

The role of Supply Chain Specialist is a dynamic position that involves procurement, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.

  • As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for purchasing activities performed within the SAP platform.
  • Drive best practices and provide guidance to end users on how to best utilize SAP to support ordering needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, manage and execute the acquisition of goods and services in support of customer requirements.
  2. Originate and place purchase orders (PO's), communicate with Suppliers.
  3. Troubleshoot problems with delivery, price, and quality of material; implement solutions or recommend solutions to appropriate source resolution. Communicate issues and resolutions to necessary stakeholders.
  4. Audit supplier order confirmations against Purchase orders for item, delivery date, quantity, ship to and pricing
  5. Understand business purchasing needs and inventory; enhance buying decisions and buying process based on those needs.
  6. Develop, grow and maintain good relationships with external suppliers and internal customers.
  7. Develop and continually learn, grow and strengthen individual capabilities, staying current with best practices.
  8. Utilize SAP/MRP computer system and maintain appropriate inventory.
  9. Participates in projects to implement initiatives; identifies project opportunities; generates ideas and solutions.
  10. Adhere to all relevant industry standards and work instructions.
  11. May lead work activities of others, coordinating daily activities and providing training, coaching and guidance.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferably in product related supply chain, logistics, finance, or procurement functions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Capable of extracting data from systems and modules as required.
