The Brisbane based Surf Lifesaving Foundation is the national fundraising body for Surf Life Saving in Australia, responsible for philanthropic activities, running Surf Life Saving Lotteries and the Grant Seeking Unit. We rely heavily on the support of the community to continue to provide this vital service that helps keep our beaches safe and protect our Australian way of life.

**Description**:
The Procurement Manager will report to the Head of Finance and Systems, the role is based in the Brisbane office and the main purposes of this role are to:

- Manage the procurement function to source products and services required by SLSA.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, processes and systems that align with SLSA objectives.
- Play a significant role in sourcing and acquiring properties to be used as prizes in SLSA's Art Unions.
- Provide support to the Prize Home Coordinator in managing properties to ensure they are ready to be offered as prize homes.
- Manage SLSA's inventory of goods that are sold through its online store.
- Manage SLSA's facilities in Brisbane and Sydney including security and access, maintenance, assets and equipment (including vehicles), and WHS requirements.

**Key Responsibilities will specifically include**:
Procurement Management
- Research and understanding of stakeholder needs to create a Procurement Plan that aligns with SLSA strategic Objectives.
- Implementing, managing and controlling the Procurement Plan and providing support to cost centre managers in resourcing projects and centralising product and service acquisition where appropriate.
- Take the lead in RFQ and tender processes.
- Establish service agreements and negotiate contracts with suppliers.

Prize Home Acquisition
- Maintain relationships with agents other sources to create opportunities for the purchase of high quality prize homes both on and off-market.
- Short list and recommend properties for purchase to the Prize Strategy working group.
- Procurement of assets included in prize homes lotteries.
- Support the Prize Home Coordinator in management of contractors for maintenance and renovations of prize homes.

Facilities Management
- Manage building security systems.
- Facilitate maintenance and repairs.
- Liaise with landlord's agents.
- Coordinate WHS actions.
- Ensure compliance with various building regulations.
- Support HR in provision of safety training for staff.
- Maintenance of office equipment.
- Coordinate the use, maintenance and registration of company vehicles.

Inventory Management
- Ensure SLSA's inventory of goods for sale is management efficiently to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Review ongoing charges by 3PL warehouse to ensure appropriateness of such.
- Lead the procurement process for SLSA patrol uniforms and other stock items.

Financial Management & Reporting
- Understand department budgets and the requirement of resources in each department.
- Review of financial reports to determine where efficiencies in expenditure can be gained.

Communication and Collaboration
- Positive feedback from stakeholders
- Overall procurement capability of the broader team being enhanced

**Skills and Experiences**:
**Qualifications**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business and/or supply chain management.
- 7+ years' experience and achievement in a procurement function.

Knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and experience of strategic planning, analytical assessment, negotiation and operational savings.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and developing service agreements.
- Recent commercial management experience managing budgets.
- Understanding of sourcing and procurement techniques.
- Understanding of inventory management strategies.
- Proven experience working with teams across different departments in a diverse organisation.
