Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of open space services. This role will oversee the planning, prioritization and delivery of operations across parks, reserves, sports fields, beaches and natural areas.

This includes managing maintenance programs, monitoring performance and allocating resources for efficient service delivery.

The successful candidate will also provide guidance, mentorship and performance support to staff to build a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, prioritization and delivery of operations across open spaces.
  • Oversee maintenance programs and monitor performance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff.
  • Engage with the community and stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance with safety and environmental policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in horticulture, environment or related fields.
  • Proven experience in operational management, including budgeting and resourcing.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges and make sound decisions.
