Job Overview

The Commercial Manager is a senior role that plays a critical part in the Utilities team, overseeing commercial and contracts teams on various projects. This position involves leadership accountability for the Commercial and Contracts team and serves as the initial escalation point for commercial, contract, legal, financial, risk, governance, and project requirements.

Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive commercial advice in a strategic manner, leading the team to upskill, develop, and expand commercial capabilities within allocated programs of work. Compliance with relevant policies and procedures is also essential.

Requirements include a tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Commercial/Contract Management or a related discipline, minimum five years' experience in the construction industry (or related areas), and five years in a related role. Understanding of the broader Utilities sector, demonstrated commercial acumen, awareness, and experience working in a collaborative client environment are also desirable.
