Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to provide IT support and training for staff and customers, troubleshoot library technology, liaise with system suppliers and IT staff, prepare statistics as required and assist in implementation of new technology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service on the library floor, actively participating in the customer service shift roster and working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide IT support and training for staff and customers
  • Troubleshoot library technology
  • Liaise with system suppliers and Council Information Technology staff
  • Prepare statistics as required
  • Assist in implementation of new technology according to the Library Technology Plan
  • Active participation in the library customer service floor shift roster
  • Work on the library floor to assist library customers with general requests

Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of library systems and technologies
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
