Job Title: Retail Asset Protection Specialist

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Monitor warehouse and perimeter for safety and security concerns to prevent losses.
  • Stay knowledgeable about company procedures, relevant laws, and industry best practices related to asset protection, attending meetings and seminars as necessary.
  • Identify and investigate internal and external theft threats, reporting potential issues to the Warehouse Manager and participating in Shrink Committee activities.
  • In cases of shoplifting, detain and interview individuals when warranted, prepare reports for internal use and potential prosecutions.
  • Maintain evidence and report files collected from investigations, testify in court as needed.
  • Communicate with other area asset protection specialists and Security personnel to share information about current and local theft threats.
  • Follow proper Member Service and general safety and security procedures and standards, assist in other departments as necessary.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to members, employees, and vendors, answer phone calls and assist callers in office.

Requirements:

  • Asset protection or security experience preferred.
  • High School Certificate or higher required.
