We are seeking a skilled Trades Training Professional to deliver high-quality training in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Trainer and Assessor, responsible for delivering approved technical trade training packages.

As a Trades Training Professional, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining training plans and documentation, supervising and mentoring training groups and individuals, drafting apprentice progress reports and contributing to skills development evaluations.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical trade training packages to Mechanical Apprentices and Tradespeople
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training plans and documentation
  • Supervise and mentor training groups and individuals to ensure optimal learning outcomes
  • Draft regular apprentice progress reports and contribute to skills development evaluations
  • Maintain a safe training environment and ensure compliance with OHS&W regulations
About You
  • Hold a relevant trade certification and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Possess at least 10 years of trade experience, preferably in heavy engineering or shipbuilding
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Able to manage technical documentation and demonstrate initiative, integrity, and accountability
  • An effective team player with strong motivation and support skills
