About Us
We are seeking a Wildlife Officer to join our prawn farm team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in safeguarding our stock by managing predatory wildlife.
Responsibilities- Safely and responsibly operate firearms and animal trapping devices, prioritising environmental protection and minimising risks to personnel, equipment, and stock.
- Conduct regular pond inspections, monitoring prawn health, water quality, and potential contaminants.
- Report and escalate significant wildlife threats to relevant team members.
- Maintain accurate records and submit weekly reports on wildlife activity and control measures.
- Assist with additional farm duties as required.
Requirements
- Current and valid firearms and animal trapping licences (essential).
- Valid driver's licence.
- Basic tech proficiency (iPad use for reporting).
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Legal right to work in Australia.
- Satisfactory National Police Check (required prior to appointment).
