Partnership Development Leader

This is a newly created Senior Leadership Team role that reports directly to the Chief Member Officer.

The Partnership Development Leader will lead our national strategy across third-party advice channels, including IFA (Independent Financial Adviser) and TPA (Third Party Administrator) markets.

The successful candidate will own adviser engagement, onboarding, and retention, and execute our broader advice distribution strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a national IFA/TPA sales and distribution strategy.
  • Leading adviser and licensee partnerships, including those with major industry players.
  • Managing referral programs, book transitions, and scalable advice delivery models.
  • Representing the organization through thought leadership, industry events, and strategic forums.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to align distribution and advice with product, digital, and member experience.
  • Building and leading a high-performing partnerships team focused on growth, retention, and reputation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Leadership experience in advice distribution, partnerships, or business development.
  • A strong understanding of the IFA/TPA landscape and advice industry dynamics.
  • A strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to drive channel growth and business development outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience in superannuation or financial advice, or a related field with relevant industry knowledge.
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, or business; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • An enterprise-minded approach and ability to work collaboratively across executive levels.
