Graduate Environmental Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Graduate Environmental Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to progress quickly, determined to make an impact, and passionate about environmental conservation.

The successful candidate will be part of our immersive graduate program, designed to unlock their potential and equip them with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to excel in their chosen career. This role offers real-world experiences that will allow the graduate to grow, develop, and progress rapidly. The City's Graduate Academy community provides a supportive environment, where graduates can build relationships, networks, and confidence to create their desired career path.

As a Graduate Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting initial environmental assessments, obtaining statutory approvals, and overseeing environmental aspects of construction and land rehabilitation for key city assets. You will collaborate with project managers to provide technical guidance on identifying critical environmental issues, interpreting state and local legislation, and advising on avoidance and mitigation strategies.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. You must also be willing to learn new skills, adapt quickly, and contribute positively to the team dynamic.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognized bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in environmental science or related fields, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program. You must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time.
