2026 General Medicine Fellow
Job Description:The Royal Children's Hospital is a leading healthcare provider for children and young people in Victoria.

The Department of General Medicine is one of the largest departments at RCH, with a range of subspecialty interests including Rheumatology, Immigrant Health, and Clinical Pharmacology.
As a leader in quality improvement projects, you will work closely with the General Medicine leadership team to participate in the After Hours Medical Lead roster.
You will mentor and lead junior medical staff, collaborate with the after-hours team across the hospital, and manage clinical resources to meet the demands of increasing patient acuity across General Medicine and Specialty Units.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical care in the inpatient setting, liaising with other General Medicine, Subspecialty, Nursing and Allied Health teams.
- Supervising junior trainees, leading ward rounds, attending ward reviews, admitting and discharging patients, and assisting with patient flow throughout the hospital.
- Providing clinical care in the outpatient setting, including liaison with RCH outpatient units and external providers.
- Attending and contributing to General Medicine/RCH educational activities, including weekly education, Journal Club, Grand Rounds, Radiology meeting, and M&M meetings.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with AHPRA and eligibility for medical registration within Victoria.
- Advanced Trainee in Paediatrics with exams completed.
- International Medical applicants require a score of 7 or above in all bands IELTS test.
