Job Opportunity: Experienced IT Professional

This is a contract position that requires an experienced IT professional to implement, manage and retire the infrastructure that supports digital services. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of specific ICT platforms and provide expert advice on their management and maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, evaluating and implementing infrastructure requirements to meet future demand, providing technical support for project build, test and solution deployment activities, and preparing documentation such as design documentation, implementation plans, test plans and support procedures.

  • Develop and execute plans to design, evaluate and implement infrastructure requirements to meet future infrastructure demand
  • Provide expert technical support for project build, test and solution deployment activities
  • Prepare, review and maintain documentation which may include design documentation, implementation plans, test plans, and support procedures

The successful candidate will also be required to participate in change management processes, communicate end-to-end implications of configuration changes, provide detailed technical advice and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

This mid-senior level contract position requires at least five years' experience in the design, management and maintenance of internet gateway and/or large scale data centre networking environments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the operation of backup, high availability and disaster recovery solutions for IT systems
  2. Manage the regular maintenance of patches and support packages for all technical layers
  3. Administer and operate the Gateway network kit
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, management and maintenance of internet gateway and/or large scale data centre networking environment
  • Demonstrated experience and technical proficiency in the design of services utilising F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 switching/load balancing and proxy systems
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and deployment of network infrastructure including Cisco Data centre technologies like Cisco ACI, Cisco Routers, nexus switches, routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
