Senior Infrastructure Specialist - GPC Asia Pacific - Full Time

Senior Infrastructure Specialist role at GPC Asia Pacific. This is a full-time position based in Rowville, Australia, supporting an enterprise environment across GPC Asia Pacific offices, warehouses and a network of stores (>600 stores across Australia, New Zealand and Asia). This is a hands-on role requiring initiative, accountability and the ability to work independently within a close-knit team.

What will you be doing?

Providing technical expertise for core infrastructure including but not limited to:

• GCP, AWS, Azure Cloud
• M365, InTune, AVD/W365
• Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager
• Windows Server OS
• Linux Server OS
• Active Directory & AAD
• Remote Desktop Services
• Identity Access Management Platforms
• Incident Management Tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
• SAN Storage & Backup Solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and proactively maintain systems and services managed by the Infrastructure support team
• Produce appropriate infrastructure designs and technical specifications to support new and improved systems
• Coordinate project tasks with Technical Leads and Project Managers
• Provide technical expertise for core infrastructure as listed
• Maintain all responsible systems
• Conduct training and mentoring for junior team members and maintain documentation
• Deliver weekly system reports to the Infrastructure Manager
• Adhere to Infrastructure policies and processes (e.g., Change Management) and identify IT risks
• Follow ITIL-based ITSM practices; manage incidents, problems and service requests to agreed SLAs
• Support the organization in line with GPC Asia Pacific procedures and policies
• Liaise with internal staff to ensure high service satisfaction
• Create and maintain corporate knowledge base articles
• Rostered on-call program for BAU and project activities

About You

• 3+ years supporting Cloud Infrastructure Solutions, Integrations & Migrations (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS)
• 5+ years in a Microsoft enterprise environment supporting core systems (M365, Azure AD, SCCM/InTune, Active Directory, AVD, Windows Server 2016-2022)
• 5+ years supporting a virtualization environment (e.g., VMware)
• 5+ years supporting enterprise Patching & Security Systems
• 5+ years maintaining backup and SAN storage solutions
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize infrastructure activities and support requests
• Strong time and priority management
• Investigative skills to identify and solve complex problems
• Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users
