Local Fleet Allocator Role

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Coordinator to join our Melbourne Operations team based at our Altona depot. This role requires previous Transport and Logistics allocations experience to coordinate timely and safe pickups and deliveries for clients.

This vital process is a key part of the FMCG sector, offering a great work-life balance with a Monday to Friday schedule and mid-morning start.

About the Role:

  • Manifesting and planning of local pickups and deliveries.
  • Working in a busy environment coordinating multiple drivers, consignments, and vehicles.
  • Driver tracking and run sheet monitoring.
  • Auditing and problem-solving using transport and logistics knowledge.
  • Allocating administration tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Melbourne metro area.
  • Experience in fast-paced roles allocating large fleets of trucks.
  • Legal and WHS knowledge regarding CoR, driving hours, mass, and fatigue management.
  • Ability to build and nurture strong working relationships.
  • Strong work ethic and a 'can-do' attitude with a focus on safety.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Verbal communication skills, exceptional planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Resilience, passion, and ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • High motivation and energy with a focus on business-to-business relationships.
