Job Description

The Central Coburg Business Association is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Association Manager. This role plays a vital part in promoting and developing the local business community, ensuring the continued growth and prosperity of the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement programs and activities aimed at promoting and developing the local business community
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business owners, traders, and Council representatives
  • Monitor and analyze data to inform strategic decision-making and optimize program outcomes
  • Prepare and present reports, papers, and submissions for the Committee's consideration and other audiences as required
  • Assist in the administration of the Committee, including attending meetings and preparing minutes
  • Represent the Association at events and functions, communicating its vision and goals to the community
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local suppliers and organizations to secure value for money and support the Association's objectives

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or relevant industry, with a strong understanding of business development and community engagement principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and inform strategic decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Client Relationship Management Software, with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies as required
  • Education to tertiary standard, with a degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience and training
