About the Role

Aptella is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their team in Coffs Harbour. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and supporting machine control systems, with a focus on 2D and 3D automation and machine payload weighing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission machine control systems and equipment on-site and in the workshop.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot machine systems and attachments.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance services to customers.
  • Train customers on the use of machine control systems.
About You
  • You hold a trade qualification in Auto Electrician, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or Light Vehicle.
  • You have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • You possess mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills.
  • You have a strong understanding of Electrical and Hydraulic systems.
  • You are able to build and manage customer relationships and expectations.
  • You have a strong attention to detail and are goal-oriented.
  • You have sound computer skills and are able to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • You display a high degree of professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • You are able to work autonomously and have excellent troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
Requirements
  • You hold a valid Driver's Licence (car).
Desirable
  • You have experience with heavy equipment mechanical repairs and maintenance.
  • You have experience with heavy equipment auto electrical repairs and maintenance.
  • You have experience with mobile plant hydraulic systems.
  • You have experience or exposure to installing and maintaining machine control systems.
  • You have a knowledge of Surveying practices, techniques, and concepts.
  • You have an interest in new technology development.
