  • Performing operator-level maintenance and functional testing of firefighting vehicles and associated equipment.
  • Maintaining a high state of readiness through continuous on-the-job training.
  • Providing assistance to the civilian community when necessary.
  • Executing decontamination procedures for personnel and equipment exposed to hazardous agents or chemicals.
  • Facilitating ongoing training for military and civilian personnel stationed at Defence facilities.

Fire Fighters operate as part of a highly skilled and dedicated team, ensuring that a minimum crew of four members is available to provide ARFF/SRFF support around the clock. Members are assigned to rotating shifts to maintain this critical service.
