We believe ongoing feedback is crucial for developing a growth mindset in students. As a Wellbeing and Inclusion Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and support to students and staff, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Case Management:
  • You will work closely with students to develop personalized plans, ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed academically and personally.
  • You will collaborate with teachers to promote student engagement and deliver meaningful learning experiences.
  • You will actively involve students and their families in decision-making processes, empowering them to take ownership of their educational journey.
  • Act as an advocate for students when needed, ensuring their voice is heard within the school community.
  • Program Development:
  • You will design and implement group programs catering to the diverse needs of our student population.
  • You will lead whole-school initiatives aimed at enhancing student wellbeing, such as RU OK day and Mental Health Week.
  • School Support:
  • You will assist in the development and review of policies related to student wellbeing and management.
  • You will network with external agencies, serving as a liaison between our college and community partners.
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
  • You will provide expert advice on mental health, mandatory reporting, critical incidents, and suicide prevention, supporting teachers in managing students at risk.
