Job Description

The Inventory Planner will be responsible for their own product portfolio, ensuring adequate supply of product to service customer needs while minimising working inventory investment by assessing demand activity.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Actively participate in Supply Review Meetings
  • Provide a Summary of each items stock and supply position
  • Review the supply plan for each product, placing purchasing orders, expediting or deferring orders as required
  • Problem solving inbound stock issues
  • Encourage open communication with each of their suppliers to get ahead of any upcoming supply issues
  • Provide suppliers with a rolling purchase forecast
  • Ensure suppliers are meeting the terms of their contracts, i.e. lead times, minimum component holding
  • Dual Source fully finished products from Approved Suppliers
  • Negotiate improved cost of goods with suppliers
  • Project manage new products from a supply perspective
  • Maintain critical inventory information in our online systems accurately

This is a full time on-site role located in Warriewood, NSW.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate - advanced excel skills
  • Relevant bachelors degrees in logistics, business, engineering or similar
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Solutions focused and adaptable
  • Enjoy problem solving

You will have a strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices, including forecasting, replenishment strategies, and risk management. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
